About Tour Package

The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is one of the most revered spiritual journeys in the world, leading devotees to the mystical Mount Kailash and the pristine Lake Manasarovar in Tibet. This pilgrimage is sacred to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers, symbolizing the path to spiritual liberation and inner awakening. The journey unfolds across the breathtaking yet challenging Himalayan landscapes, testing devotion, faith, and endurance. Pilgrims believe that one full circumambulation around Mount Kailash washes away the sins of a lifetime. As the divine mountain reflects in the still waters of Manasarovar, seekers experience a profound connection between heaven and earth. This yatra is not merely a trip—it is a transformation of the soul.

The Call of the Divine – Beginning the Sacred Expedition

The pilgrimage often begins in Kathmandu, Nepal, where preparations are made for the sacred expedition ahead. Devotees participate in orientation rituals and spiritual briefings before crossing into Tibet. The excitement builds as travelers set foot on the land of ancient monasteries and snow-draped peaks. Prayer flags flutter in the mountain winds, carrying the hopes of countless pilgrims. Each step forward feels guided by unseen divine energy, urging seekers toward the abode of Lord Shiva. The journey begins not on the road, but within the heart — with surrender, faith, and a deep yearning for liberation.

The Road to the Heavens – Through the High Himalayan Passes

Traveling through rugged terrain and thin air, pilgrims cross high-altitude passes that test endurance and faith alike. The landscape alternates between barren plains, turquoise lakes, and towering peaks. Along the way, ancient monasteries like Saga and Paryang offer glimpses of Tibetan spiritual life, where chanting monks and spinning prayer wheels add to the divine rhythm of the journey. The sense of remoteness amplifies the purity of thought and purpose. Each night under the Himalayan stars becomes an offering of devotion and courage. This is a road where every breath feels sacred.

Lake Manasarovar – The Sacred Waters of Purity

Reaching Lake Manasarovar marks a divine milestone in the yatra. The crystal-clear lake, shimmering beneath Mount Kailash, is believed to have been created by Lord Brahma himself. Pilgrims take a holy dip in its icy waters, seeking purification from past karma and renewal of the soul. The sight of the mountain mirrored on the tranquil lake evokes tears of reverence and joy. Circumambulating the lake, pilgrims chant prayers and meditate in profound silence. Here, faith meets serenity — and the spirit begins to dissolve into the infinite.

Mount Kailash – The Axis of the Universe

The next phase, the Kailash Parikrama, is the most challenging yet spiritually elevating part of the pilgrimage. Pilgrims trek 52 kilometers around the sacred mountain, traversing the Dolma La Pass, one of the highest points of the journey. Every step is a prayer, every breath a surrender to the divine. The mountain, shaped like a perfect pyramid, is said to represent the cosmic center of existence — the very throne of Lord Shiva. Standing before it, one feels the pulse of eternity and the silence of creation itself. No words can capture what the soul feels in the shadow of Kailash.

The Journey Within – Transformation and Transcendence

As pilgrims descend from the heights of Kailash, their hearts overflow with peace, gratitude, and spiritual renewal. The hardships faced on the path fade into the background, replaced by a profound sense of divine closeness. Many describe the yatra as a rebirth — a journey that cleanses not just the body, but the very essence of being. The memory of the shimmering lake and the mighty mountain lingers long after the return. The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra becomes more than a pilgrimage — it becomes a mirror reflecting one’s highest truth. In its silence lies liberation.

    Kailash Manasarovar ( Deaprture: 8:00 am - 8:30am )
Your spiritual journey begins with your arrival at Lucknow Airport or Railway Station, where our team will warmly welcome you. From here, embark on a comfortable drive to Nepalgunj, a vibrant border town in southwestern Nepal, approximately 3 hours away. Enjoy the scenic countryside views as you cross into Nepal, gradually transitioning into a peaceful pilgrimage mindset. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, check in to your hotel and relax after the day’s travel. This overnight stay prepares you for the high-altitude adventure ahead.
Your day starts with an early breakfast before heading to Nepalgunj airport for the short flight to Simikot, a remote Himalayan town perched at 2,910 meters. This scenic 45-minute journey offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys, giving you your first glimpse of the dramatic landscapes ahead. Upon landing, you’ll complete immigration formalities required before crossing into Tibet. From Simikot, board a thrilling 15-minute helicopter ride over steep cliffs and winding rivers to reach Hilsa, the small settlement on the Nepal-Tibet border. The flight is both breathtaking and humbling as you soar above some of the most untouched regions of the Himalayas. After landing in Hilsa, you will rest and begin acclimatizing to higher altitudes. This day marks your transition from the lowlands to the sacred highlands of the Kailash region.
After an early breakfast in Hilsa, begin a short 10-minute walk across a suspension bridge to reach the Nepal-China border. Here, you'll complete Chinese immigration and customs formalities before officially entering Tibet. Once cleared, Tibetan vehicles will be waiting to drive you to Taklakot (also known as Purang), a bustling town located at an altitude of approximately 3,700 meters. The 30 km drive takes around one hour, winding through rugged landscapes and high-altitude plateaus. Upon arrival in Taklakot, check into your guesthouse or hotel and take the rest of the day to rest. This is an important acclimatization stop as your body adjusts to the thinner air and changing climate. Light walks and proper hydration are recommended to prepare for the upcoming spiritual trek.
After breakfast in Taklakot, begin your 70 km drive to the sacred Lake Manasarovar, a journey of around one hour through the serene and expansive Tibetan plateau. As you approach the lake, the stunning views of Mount Kailash in the distance and the shimmering blue waters of Manasarovar create a powerful spiritual atmosphere. On arrival, pilgrims traditionally take a holy dip in the lake’s icy waters, believed to purify sins and cleanse the soul. You’ll also have the opportunity to perform puja, prayers, and quiet meditation by the lakeside. The rest of the day is spent in spiritual reflection and absorbing the divine energy of this sacred site. Overnight stay will be near the lake, under the open Himalayan sky.
After an early breakfast, set out on a 48 km drive from Lake Manasarovar to Yam Dwar, the “Gateway to the God of Death,” marking the spiritual beginning of the Mount Kailash Parikrama. The drive, though relatively short in distance, takes around 6 hours due to the rough, high-altitude terrain and elevation gain to 4,890 meters. Upon reaching Yam Dwar, you’ll begin the first leg of the trek—a 12 km walk to Diraphuk, which takes around 5 to 6 hours depending on pace and altitude adjustment. The trail follows a dramatic valley with Mount Kailash’s awe-inspiring north face towering beside you throughout the journey. Every step along the rugged path is infused with deep spiritual energy, often accompanied by chants or silent reflection. Arrive in Diraphuk by evening and rest at the guesthouse, with Mount Kailash just outside your window.
Today is the most challenging and spiritually significant part of the Kailash Parikrama. After an early breakfast, begin the 22 km trek from Diraphuk to Zhuthulphuk, which takes around 10 hours to complete. The trail ascends steeply to the Dolma La Pass (5,630 m), the highest point of the trek, where pilgrims often pause to offer prayers and tie prayer flags as symbols of devotion and release. After crossing the pass, descend carefully toward Gauri Kund, the sacred emerald lake believed to be where Goddess Parvati bathed. The descent is steep and rocky, demanding focus and endurance as you make your way through silent valleys and vast alpine landscapes. By evening, arrive at Zhuthulphuk (4,790 m) and rest in simple accommodations. Despite its difficulty, this day is deeply rewarding, marking the symbolic death of the ego and rebirth of the soul.
After breakfast in Zhuthulphuk, begin the final leg of your sacred trek with a gentle 3-hour walk to Chharchung. This part of the trail is relatively flat and easy, allowing time for reflection and gratitude as you complete the Mount Kailash Parikrama. Upon reaching Chharchung, rejoin your vehicles and begin the drive back to Taklakot, passing once more by the serene Lake Manasarovar. The drive takes around 2 hours and offers one last glimpse of the holy waters and majestic mountains. Upon arrival in Taklakot, check into your guesthouse and rest. This marks the completion of your profound spiritual journey around Mount Kailash.
After breakfast in Taklakot, begin your return journey with a scenic drive back to the Nepal-Tibet border near Hilsa. Upon reaching the border, complete Chinese immigration formalities and cross the suspension bridge on foot into Nepal. From Hilsa, board a helicopter for the 15-minute flight back to Simikot, enjoying aerial views of the remote Himalayan valleys. After a short layover in Simikot, continue with a scheduled flight to Nepalgunj. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and relax, carrying with you the peace and blessings of the sacred journey.
After a relaxed breakfast in Nepalgunj, begin your drive back to Lucknow, retracing your route through the scenic plains and border regions. The journey takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, offering time to reflect on the spiritual and physical experiences of the yatra. Upon arrival in Lucknow, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey. With hearts full of peace and memories etched in the soul, your Kailash Manasarovar Yatra comes to a blessed conclusion. May the divine energy of Kailash guide your path ahead.
