About Tour Package

The Manasarovar Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in the world, leading to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Manasarovar at the foot of Mount Kailash in Tibet. This divine journey is revered by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers alike. Pilgrims believe that taking a holy dip in the lake purifies the soul, washes away past karma, and grants spiritual liberation. The path winds through rugged Himalayan landscapes, testing both body and spirit. As the snow peaks reflect upon the tranquil lake, the atmosphere becomes one of pure divinity. To witness Manasarovar is to experience heaven on earth.

The Divine Beginning – Setting Out for the Sacred Path

The yatra often begins from Kathmandu in Nepal, where pilgrims prepare both physically and spiritually for the journey ahead. Orientation briefings, medical checkups, and prayer ceremonies mark the start of this sacred expedition. As groups travel toward the Tibetan plateau, every mile unfolds breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas. The rising altitudes bring both challenges and awe-inspiring beauty. Pilgrims chant mantras, meditate, and reflect as they approach the land of the gods. With hearts full of faith, they set out to reach one of the holiest sites known to humankind.

Across the Mighty Himalayas – The Road to Purity

The journey across the Himalayas is as demanding as it is divine. Traveling through rugged passes like Lipulekh or Nathu La, pilgrims experience extreme weather and high altitudes. Yet, the surrounding beauty of snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, and endless skies fills every heart with wonder. The route reveals remote villages and monasteries where ancient chants still echo through the winds. Pilgrims find strength in community, prayer, and shared devotion as they ascend toward the sacred destination. Every step becomes a test of endurance and faith intertwined.

The Sacred Lake – Darshan of Divine Serenity

Reaching Lake Manasarovar is a moment of profound fulfillment. The turquoise waters shimmer beneath Mount Kailash, creating an image that feels otherworldly. Pilgrims perform parikrama (circumambulation) of the lake and take a holy dip believed to cleanse sins and grant moksha. The stillness of the lake mirrors the stillness within the soul. As prayers and incense rise into the thin mountain air, peace descends like a divine blessing. Here, devotion meets eternity — and the journey finds its sacred purpose.

Mount Kailash – The Axis of the Universe

After Manasarovar, many pilgrims continue to Mount Kailash, believed to be the cosmic center of the universe. Revered as the abode of Lord Shiva, it stands tall at 6,638 meters, untouched and unconquered. Pilgrims undertake the Kailash Parikrama, a 52-kilometer circumambulation that is both spiritually symbolic and physically challenging. Each step around the mountain is said to erase lifetimes of karma. The mighty peak, wrapped in clouds and silence, radiates divine power and humility. Standing before Kailash, one feels the infinite presence of the universe itself.

Reflections of the Soul – The Journey Within

As the yatra concludes, pilgrims carry home more than memories — they carry transformation. The hardships, prayers, and divine moments at Manasarovar and Kailash awaken a new consciousness. Many describe a sense of rebirth, as though the journey stripped away layers of ego and fear. The image of the still lake and the mighty peak stays etched in every heart forever. Beyond religion or creed, Manasarovar unites all who seek truth and peace. It is not just a destination — it is the mirror of the soul.

Depending on your arrival time, you may explore nearby cultural landmarks or enjoy a traditional Nepali meal. Your spiritual journey begins with the warm hospitality and rich heritage of Kathmandu.
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you'll proceed to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple for an early morning darshan. This revered Hindu temple, located on the banks of the Bagmati River, offers a powerful spiritual atmosphere with the chants of priests and the scent of incense in the air. Participate in rituals or simply soak in the divine energy of this ancient site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Following the darshan, return to the hotel or designated venue for the final yatra briefing. During the session, you'll receive important instructions, travel documents, and tips to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage. The day blends divine blessings with practical preparations for the spiritual journey ahead.
After completing your morning activities in Kathmandu, you'll head to the airport for a short domestic flight to Nepalgunj, a bustling town near the India-Nepal border. The scenic flight offers a bird’s-eye view of Nepal’s diverse landscapes, from terraced fields to distant Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, you'll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and rest. This stop serves as an important acclimatization point before ascending to higher altitudes. In the evening, you may explore the local market or relax at the hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay as you prepare for the next leg of the sacred journey.
Early in the morning, board a scenic 45-minute flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, a remote town nestled in the hills of northwestern Nepal. After a brief rest and immigration formalities, continue your journey with a thrilling 15-minute helicopter ride to Hilsa, flying over deep valleys and rocky terrain. Upon landing at Hilsa, you’ll cross a short suspension bridge on foot to reach the Nepal-Tibet border. After completing Chinese immigration procedures, you'll be welcomed by Tibetan guides and transferred to your vehicle. From there, enjoy a picturesque drive through the barren yet beautiful Tibetan plateau to reach Taklakot (also known as Purang). Settle in for the night as your body begins adjusting to the high altitude.
Today is reserved for rest and acclimatization in Taklakot, located at an altitude of 3,700 meters. This pause is crucial to help your body gradually adjust to the thin air and high-altitude conditions of the Tibetan plateau. Take the day to relax, hydrate well, and avoid strenuous activity. You may take short, slow walks around the town to aid the acclimatization process while enjoying views of the rugged mountains and vast open landscapes. Meals will be provided at the guesthouse or hotel, with light food to support digestion at high altitude. This quiet day is essential preparation for the spiritual and physical journey ahead to Lake Manasarovar and Mount Kailash.
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic 70 km drive from Taklakot to the sacred Lake Manasarovar, a journey of around one hour through the stark and stunning Tibetan landscape. As you approach the lake, the first glimpse of its serene blue waters against the backdrop of Mount Kailash is both breathtaking and deeply spiritual. Upon arrival, pilgrims traditionally take a holy dip in the icy, sacred waters of Manasarovar, believed to cleanse sins and purify the soul. You may also perform puja and meditation along the tranquil shores, absorbing the divine energy that surrounds this revered site. The rest of the day is for spiritual reflection and soaking in the serenity of this sacred pilgrimage destination.
After morning rituals and breakfast by the holy Lake Manasarovar, begin your drive towards Yam Dwar, the “Gateway of the God of Death,” the traditional starting point of the Mount Kailash Parikrama. From Yam Dwar, start the challenging yet spiritually rewarding 12 km trek to Deraphuk, which takes around 6 hours depending on pace and acclimatization. The trail winds through rocky terrain and high-altitude valleys, with Mount Kailash majestically in view, guiding your journey. As you walk in silence or chant mantras, the sacred energy of the mountain begins to reveal itself. Upon reaching Deraphuk (4,890 m), settle into your basic guesthouse for the night and rest well amidst the divine presence of Kailash.
Today marks the most challenging and spiritually significant part of the Kailash Parikrama as you trek from Deraphuk to Zhuthulphuk, covering 22 km over approximately 10 hours. The trail ascends steeply to the Dolma La Pass (5,630 m), the highest point of the trek, where pilgrims often pause to offer prayers and leave symbolic items like prayer flags or personal belongings. After crossing the pass, descend carefully towards the sacred Gauri Kund, a shimmering glacial lake associated with Goddess Parvati. The descent is steep and rocky, requiring patience and steady footing. Continue trekking through dramatic valleys and silent stretches until you reach Zhuthulphuk (4,790 m), where simple accommodations and warm food await. This day is both physically demanding and deeply transformative, as it symbolizes overcoming inner obstacles on the path to spiritual liberation.
After an early breakfast at Zhuthulphuk, begin the final leg of your Kailash Parikrama with a gentle 3-hour trek to Chharchung, walking along a relatively flat and scenic trail. This portion of the journey offers time for reflection and gratitude as you bid farewell to the sacred landscape of Mount Kailash. Upon reaching Chharchung, you’ll rejoin your vehicles and drive towards Darchen, the base town of the Kailash region, where the parikrama officially concludes. After a brief stop in Darchen, continue your drive back to Taklakot, retracing the path through the vast and silent Tibetan plateau. Check in at your guesthouse in Taklakot and rest, having completed one of the most powerful pilgrimages on Earth.
Begin your return journey with an early morning drive from Taklakot to the Tibet-Nepal border near Hilsa, passing through the familiar rugged landscapes. After clearing Chinese immigration, cross the footbridge back into Nepal and board a helicopter for the short, scenic 15-minute flight to Simikot. Upon arrival in Simikot, connect to your scheduled domestic flight to Nepalgunj. After a brief layover or rest, board your final flight back to Kathmandu. As you arrive in the capital, the transition from remote highlands to city life brings a sense of completion and gratitude. The journey ends, but the spiritual experience of Kailash and Manasarovar remains deeply etched in your heart.
On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel and reflect on the incredible spiritual journey you've completed. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to explore nearby markets for souvenirs or visit a local café. Our team will assist with your airport transfer, ensuring a smooth and timely departure from Kathmandu. As you head to Tribhuvan International Airport, carry with you the blessings of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Depart with a heart full of peace, memories of sacred landscapes, and a renewed spiritual spirit. Wishing you a safe and blessed journey home.
